Diane Farris Gallery is delighted to announce a multi-faceted exhibition celebrating fashion entitled, The Fall Collection. Fashion is one of the most universal and public forms of art; it is not only used to enhance one's appearance but is also often associated with one's cultural and social identity. In The Fall Collection, artists will depict their own unique visions of fashion in a gallery space that is distinct and atypical from magazine editorials and runway shows.

Curated by Erica Shortt, The Fall Collection exhibits the varying dichotomies of the fashion world. The artists express a full spectrum from the brutality of the fashion industry to its purest whimsical nature. In addition to gallery artists, guest artists have been invited in order to demonstrate the diverse visions that are produced from their differing disciplines. Seven fashion designers will have their pieces draped on dress forms created especially for the show. The result is an exhibition with overlapping expressions of mediums and skills with influences from architecture, painting, engineering, papier, textiles, and fabric designs. Emmanuel St. Juste and Serge Jean Laviolette from Concept/Sauvage have collaborated with Shortt to curate the Designer component of the exhibition.
