Chihuly @ Google Lectures

During his exhibition at the de Young Musuem in San Francisco in 2008, Dale Chihuly visited Google’s Mountain View, CA headquarters to discuss his life and work. As part of Google’s Author Series, he gave a wonderful talk about his Gardens of Glass and answered questions about his life and work.

His talk, and his replies to audience questions throughout the one hour event, covers everything from personal responses to plagiarism of his work, Seattle’s emergence as an international glass center, Venice’s current glassblowing situation, shipping, publishing, teamwork, hotshop process, chemical formulas, drawings, installations and future plans. It is illustrated with videos of major projects.
